We sincerely thank all of you who emailed or sent text messages to us following the 6.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Napa Valley early on the morning of Sunday, August 24, 2014. We appreciate your concern for our well being.
Much like you, our hearts go out to the wider community which has been affected by this disaster. We are very proud to be part of a community that comes together and supports each other in times such as these, making it possible to move forward, stronger than ever.
The news networks are covering many of the worst cases of damage. At last count, 33 downtown Napa buildings have been red tagged, condemned as unusable. It appears that we are coming out of the cleanup and beginning recovery, unfortunately, there were many injured and many local businesses and homes have been severely affected by the damage caused.
Webster Cellars made it through with minimal damage to our inventory, but some of our counterparts have experienced significant loses. We wish them a swift and full recovery.
Napa has seen many natural disasters from flood, fire, recession and earthquake. We will overcome this latest one and come back even stronger. Please continue to support the Napa Valley and keep us in your prayers and thoughts.
Thanks again for reaching out to us with such great compassion and concern – it is great to know that we have such caring friends!
Keith & Chelli, Webster Cellars
